The Quick 220® A220-20L voltage converter offers a 20 ampere twist-locking outlet to supply up to 240 Volts and rated at 20 Amps, or a total of 4800 watts from commercial-grade 110 or 120 Volt outlets. This system is perfect for powering any heavy-duty or industrial equipment such as power tools and welders without the risk of your device becoming unplugged. The A220-20L voltage converter is perfect for the job-site to easily create a locking receptacle if none are available. It’s also great in the workshop or if you need to relocate a piece of equipment somewhere without a convenient locking outlet or if you’re using other heavy-duty products and don’t want to install a dedicated line. One of the best applications we've seen for this unit is adapting Hypervac duct cleaning equipment to the power supplied in most customer homes. It’s rare for a typical residence to have a 220 line with a locking outlet already wired, so the system that Hypervac came up with is a lifesaver. The voltage converter is an extremely portable unit and easy to pack with tools or other equipment. It’s extremely compact at only 6.5 in x 5 in x 3 in and weighs in less than 4 pounds. To connect to your existing standard 110/120V 20A outlets, the unit is equipped with two very long 72-inch power cords the end in standard NEMA 5-20 plugs. On the output side, the A220-20L converter will supply anywhere from 216 to 250 volts of power through a single NEMA L6-20R twist-lock outlet. It has a 3 hour duty cycle when supplying a current of 20 amps but will supply 16 Amps for any duration you need. It’s also capable of a momentary over that some motors require.
